Grid frequency support is one of the most challenging issues in wind rich islanded power systems. This problem becomes critical with displacement synchronous generators and their associated services (i.e., inertia primary operating reserve). The that are lost can be replaced by other sources, such as demand response schemes to enhance resiliency security system operations. Demand based on internet data centers expected become an increasingly important asset make a significant contribution ancillary services. To exploit this resource, service companies combine capabilities variety participate single provider similar virtual plant. In context, work develops novel framework for cooperative participation delay-tolerant workloads backup supply units provide effective fast service. achieved employing model predictive controller initiate reference signals center resources while respecting device conditions constraints.
